Christmas Gift Container

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

This is how my project started-

I cut a piece of card stock 10" wide by 10 3/16" tall and used red tacky tape along the top and bottom of the can to adhere. I also put some tape on the two ends to glue down to the can and overlap the paper on the back.

I decorated it with snowflakes cut at 1",1.5" and 2" from the Winter Lace Cartridge. I punched the borders on the top and bottom with a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.

Then I used my Cuttlebug to die cut the tag with my Pink By Design Goodies Label Die and stamped it with a coordinating stamp from the Stamp of the Month set Goodies Label. I attached the label with Trendy Twine's Peppermint Stick.

I made a bow for the top using the left over paper from the can and snowflakes. I cut 4 strips of each white and red in 3/4" x 4", then 4 strips of red in 3/4" x 3", and lastly 1 strip of white in 3/4" x 3". I connected them all with some brads and glue and hot glued the bow on the top of the container. (I found the tutorial online on how to make these bows, but I don't remember where. They are super easy though)

Here is the finished product! I love how it turned out, now just to figure out what I'm going to put in it.

Thanks for looking!
