Pirate Chest Birthday Invites

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited to share the invites I made for my Son's 2nd Birthday party!

These definitely took me awhile to design and put together, but I love the end result. Besides my Son only turns 2 once right?!

The party theme is Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

So this is what the chest on the show looks like.

Here's my version... I think I got pretty close. I used a chest file from the Silhouette Studio and did a lot of modifying to make it into a card. The skull coin is actually from some confetti I found at the party store. I couldn't find a sword exactly like the one on the chest but it's close enough. I also embossed the red paper with a wood texture plate and sanded it.

I love how the inside turned out. The print and cut feature has got to be one of my favorite things about my Cameo! All of these images are clip art I found online and added them into the design. I inked the edges with distress ink. I also used a distress tool on the edges of the paper to make them look old.

And the pile of finished invites!
So what do you think?
Now on to making the decorations for the party! Of course I will post pictures...but not until after the party.

Thanks for stopping by!
